The ALSC - The Association for Library Service to Children

Here is a link to a great website for parents and students. It is user friendly and free!

"Welcome to the Web site of the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), dedicated to creating a better future for children through libraries. Our primary goal is to lead the way in forging excellent library service for ALL children. We seek to do this through our prestigious media awards, including the Caldecott and Newbery Medals; high-quality programming and continuing education opportunities; publications; and national initiatives, including legislative advocacy on the national level."

Flexible Media Center Scheduling for Teachers

We have decided to go online with our media center scheduling book. This way teachers won't have to walk to the media center to schedule a time for their class to visit the media center during their valuable planning time. Please find the document titled Media Center Scheduling in the common drive. Find a date that is available, write your name in for that date, and resave to the common drive. We hope this will be a help to all teachers!

Book Review Incentive Program!

This year we are trying something new! :) After reading any book from the media center, fill out a book review form at the circulation desk. We will draw from the book reviews every 2 weeks. The winner will recieve a free book from the upcoming book fair. Parents and teachers, you are welcome to fill out a book review as well!
